Deeply Rooted

Ephesians 3

When God created the world, He planted a great variety of trees, plants, and flowers all over the earth. Many tress and other types of flora are good for food, and offer a variety of other beneficial uses, but the most important part of any tree or plant is, it’s roots. According to easytogrowbulbs.com, the roots of a plant have several important functions. The roots anchor the plant in place, resisting the forces of wind and running water or mud flow. The root system takes in oxygen, water and nutrients from the soil, to move them up through the plant to the stems, leaves and blooms.  Roots often store the energies created by the plant through photosynthesis, to make them available to the plant as it is needed. Plant roots also stimulate and support microorganisms in the soil that benefit plant life.

Roots are vital to the survival and overall wellbeing of plant life, but what the roots are planted in, is the major benefactor in what it can bring forth. Jesus spoke a parable in Matthew 13 that reads, “Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.”

When roots are planted in good ground, the probability of the tree bringing forth fruit is extremely high, but when tress are planted in unfavorable areas, they’ll bring forth little to no increase. When those who claim to be sons and daughters of God have their hearts rooted and grounded in love, they’ll undoubtedly bring forth much fruit for the kingdom of God. But, to those who have set their affections on things below, including money, power, wealth, careers, cars, or celebrity, they’ll never be fit for God’s kingdom. Although many aren’t rooted in God’s love, they have been blessed with limited time to get their hearts right with the Father. Are you deeply rooted in love, or are you planted in unfavorable, and unprofitable ground?

Yes, He cares

Matthew 6:25-30

In the beginning, God created so many amazing things, including birds that fly in the air, fish to swim in the seas, trees, plants, and all types of flora and fauna that inhabit the entire planet! There are millions of different trees and animals that exist in the earth, that all rely on God’s sustaining hand, to keep them fed. He gives sunlight and rain, so that plants and trees can receive nourishment, and makes certain that all the animals get their daily nutrition as well. God made everything good in the beginning, and still provides for His creation today, from the tiny little bumblebee, to the great oak tree. It’s amazing to even fathom how God pays attention to the smallest details of everything He created! This not only applies to plants and animals, but to you and I as well. To all who feel that God doesn’t, or has stopped caring for them, I strongly advise you to think again. Yes, God looks after things that may last mere moments, but He certainly cares for His people the more. God didn’t create man for jest or nought, but we were fashioned in His own likeness, to inhabit the earth, and spread goodness throughout. If God thinks enough to care for birds and trees, do you have faith enough to believe that He’ll take care of you too?

God created plants and animals

Genesis 1:14-25

My appreciation for God continues to swell as I delve deeper into studying His creation. I’m also puzzled as to why many fail to accept the fact that this beautiful world was the product of an intelligent designer, and not from a rock that exploded billions of years ago. Atheists and those who hold fast to the evolution theory fail to see that the intricacies of all created things could not have evolved from nothing; a Creator was present, who orchestrated all that exists.

After creating the sun, moon, and stars on day four of creation, God then brought forth countless moving creatures, birds, and great whales from the waters. Wait, birds were created out of the seas? You can bet your bottom dollar they were. I’ve learned a long time ago, not to question God, nor try to understand all His ways. He’s the source of all things, so I’m sure He’s aware of His doings at all times. In fact, I actually think it’s super cool that he formed the birds from water. God blessed all that He created on day five of creation, then instructed the animals to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the seas and the earth. What’s important to note also, is that every creature produced after their own kind, and nothing came from anything unlike it’s original type.

All sea creatures are unique in their own way, but whales stand out among the rest. There are many different species of whale and they all have their own unique identities and characteristics. The blue whale is the largest creature to ever have lived on Earth. It is larger than any of the dinosaurs, and it’s tongue alone can weigh as much as an elephant, and an entire football team could stand on it! My my goodness; what a awesome God we serve!

The most widespread of all animals in the world are birds. Scientists estimate that there are over 9,500 species of birds in the world, and typically group them into 30 categories. Most of all the bird species can be found in tropical rainforest. Aside from caring for themselves, birds are also essential seed dispersers for plants that provide us with food, medicine, timber, and recreation. In addition, they assist germination when they eat fruit by removing the pulp and scratching the seed coat. These are another group of unique products of God’s wonderful creation.

In Genesis 1:24, God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping things, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.” Evolutionary theories make this verse a lie, but the truth is that God made each creature Himself, on days five and six. That was just a little side information for the evolutionists. I’ll brag a little on only one land creature, the bear. Bears can live as long as 30 years in the wild, and their strong bowed legs allow them to run up to 40 miles per hour, fast enough to catch a running horse. That’s amazing speed for an animal that can weigh up to 600 lbs. The fastest known human alive today is Usain Bolt, who can run 27mph, so I’d advise him never to challenge a bear in a race.

God made all things, and called them good. Take time out daily to acknowledge the beauty of God’s creation, then praise Him for doing such amazing things. Never give credit to man, that only God deserves. He alone is worthy of all the praise. “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)

Seek peace,
