Psalm 37:23

Why do good people follow bad men? Being good, doesn’t exclude one from making unwise decisions. On the contrary, good and bad people alike, are susceptible to falling into error. Evil men thrive on manipulating others, in order to gain support for their wicked agendas. The more people who fall into the snare of deception, the greater the chance of increasing evil men’s influence. The key to avoid becoming a negative statistic, and joining yourself to an unhealthy cause is, place your trust and hope in the God who created all things, rather than a man or woman who has the power to create nothing.

No Middle Ground

1 John 5:14-21

Those who reject walking in obedience to God, by default, align themselves with the will of satan. There are many people who have good intentions and oftentimes do good deeds, but all things done outside of the will of God, are equivalent to filthy rags. There’s no straddling the fence when it comes to Good vs. evil. Either God will be the source of one’s life choices and moral compass, or the devil will rule and abide in their hearts.

When God leads a man’s heart, living in a world of sin can become a bit easier to understand and navigate through. On the contrary, when we live outside of God’s will, we open ourselves up to all kinds of evil, and inevitable deception. The enemy hates mankind, and will do whatever is in his power to keep men from drawing close to God. Men and women all over the world, are distracted by things that seem appealing, but are strategically placed to turn their focus from the truth. God loves all men, and wishes that no one perish, but despite all the time, patience, and love He bestows to man, many will fail to enter God’s eternal kingdom.

What More…?

John 3:16

What else does God need to do, to prove His unconditional love for you? What else does He need to say, that’s not already recorded in the lines of scripture, to outline His plan for your life, in this life, and the next? How many more doors does God need to open, and close, to show you, He’s directing your path? How many more tests and trials must you endure, to see, God’s intentions are to mold, shape, and sharpen your image in His eyes? How many more mistakes and errors do you need to make, to show you that God’s forgiveness can never be undone? What more can God do, to get you to see, His love is true? What more can He do, to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the Saviour, right and true?

Who Am I?

What have I done to deserve this?! Why are all these things happening to me?! I prayed daily for my wife and family. I took care of all which the Lord provided for me. I served as a good example for my children to follow. Lord, why am I suffering so much? Why did I lose all of my possessions? Why did you take the lives of all my children? Why is my wife speaking nonsense? Why are my friends accusing me of sin? What are these sores all over my skin? Father, you know I’ve been faithful and diligent in my service to you. I do not understand the reason for my suffering but, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him…”

Just A Thought

Psalm 9

Why do some people work so hard, to tear down the good reputation of others? If those who plot evil against others would redirect all their efforts toward making themselves better, the world would be a more decent place to live. Wicked people fail to realize, their actions only work against themselves. With every trap set to hinder someone, the wicked will always ensnare themselves in the end.

Payback!

Psalm 116

“What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?” (vs. 12). Is it possible, for a man or woman to repay God for all the good things He has done in their lives? Is there an amount of money, prayers, or vows we can present to God, in exchange for His bountiful dealings? There’s nothing man can do to pay God back for anything He does for them. The Bible mentions in 1 John 4:19, “We love him, because he first loved us.” God created man, in order to bless them. Unfortunately, sin threw a wrench in the perfect plan of God, causing men to lose faith, and eventually turn away from Him. But, in His everlasting grace and mercy, the Lord, God almighty, extends His love and blessings to all who turn back to Him, and commit themselves to doing His will.

Redeeming The Time

Ephesians 5:1-20

Money can be refunded, property can be restored, even health can be renewed, but there’s one thing that can never be replaced once it’s been used, and that’s time. Life on earth is indeed short, and many today won’t live beyond the years their ancestors were blessed to see. This is mostly due to the change in the quality of foods and resources, but mostly, lack of faith in the God who created all things. Knowing the average lifetime for humans is roughly threescore and ten, every person on the planet who’s capable of learning, and has a desire to please God should make redeeming the time top priority in their lives. The days are evil, and the love of God amongst men is fleeting, but to those who boldly live according to godly standards, fulfilling God’s will is a must. Lost time can never be recovered, but with the time we have left, let’s make a conscious effort to value it, by doing things that will have a positive, and eternal effect.

“Once To Die…”

Hebrews 9:24-28

Every person you know, including yourself, will someday suffer a physical death. While the thought of dying in this earth oftentimes cause some to faint, we can rest assured that Christ made it possible for us to not have to endure spiritual death. Our hope and confidence rest in the fact that Jesus not only took care of our past, but our present and future are eternally secure as well. While we strive to live holy in an unholy world, we can trust in the Spirit of God to help us overcome all manner of evil and temptation. While it is appointed unto all men to die, our physical death will be the beginning of our spiritual eternity.
